Case Study
In just a few months, Thoughtful helped Cyrus get to v1 of their mobile app so that they could continue to raise additional funding and start getting early user feedback.
The Project
Cyrus, a startup that was acquired by Malwarebytes in 2023, created a mobile app that brings cyber security to the consumer.
Thoughtful worked on the React Native mobile app with their designer and CTO, completing and releasing features weekly in a fast-paced agile environment. This quick iteration enabled them to demo the app to users and investors and, in turn, validate their product and business model. By the end of the project, Cyrus had begun hiring their full time engineering team and we worked with the new engineers to ensure a smooth code handoff.
Challenges
- Working on a fast-paced weekly cadence with new information being introduced frequently based on user and investor feedback
- Smooth navigations and animations in React Native on iOS and Android
- Working within a high security environment and ensuring that all libraries are highly secure
- Working across international timezones during COVID
